Welcome to Mastermyne Underground

Established in 1996, Mastermyne Underground is a leading provider of underground coal mining services and is the largest division operating across underground sites in Queensland’s Bowen Basin and in the New South Wales Illawarra region.

In 2008 Mastermyne acquired PYD Mining Services, a Wollongong based provider of underground coal mining services. PYD Mining Services has been fully integrated into the Mastermyne Underground division. In 2009, Mastermyne acquired the ventilation operations of Highlands Mining which has been integrated into Mastermyne Underground.

Mastermyne has placed an order for an in seam directional drill rig which will be used to support its directional drill activities. Additional directional drilling opportunities will be sought from Mastermyne’s existing relationships and from new clients.

Mastermyne Underground uses highly skilled labour and specialist mining equipment to provide a diverse range of services for the development and operation of underground coal mines, including:
