MyneStart was established in 2010 with the sole purpose of providing a unique, realistic environment in which current and potentially new personnel can be prepared to work within the underground coal mining industry.
Myne Start is a simulated Underground Coal Mining environment is in two locations:

Myne Start simulated Underground Coal Mining environment provides the mining industry with controlled, consistent pathways by which personnel can gain a more in-depth level of understanding of the underground mining environment, its distinctive hazards and associated control processes.
Realistic hands on practical training, utilising real life mining equipment such as pumps, bolters and underground machinery and mine services are integrated into various training courses.

Myne Start Brisbane
located 10 minutes from the domestic and international airport terminals in Brisbane. The complex consists of:
• over 465 linear metres of roadway within the simulated mine area (2800 square metres under roof)
• 4 headings of approximately 80 metres in length,
• Development Panel consisting of working conveyor belt and continuous miner
• Longwall panel consisting of 6 chocks and shearer arms
• Surface facilities, bathhouse, lamp room (cap lamps and rescuers), CABA/SABA, muster area, training room and equipment go line
• Underground crib room facilities
• Strata control systems, bolting platforms, roof and rib bolts, mesh and cogs
• Ventilation devices, fans, tubes, temporary and permanent stoppings
• Mine services, power, air, water, waste water and dewatering pumps
• Communication systems, DAC’s (functioning) and phones
• Conveyor systems, boot end, drive head, structure and belting (functioning)
• Fire fighting gallery/equipment, fire depots, hydrants, extinguishers
• Lifting and slinging equipment including register
The complex introduces the participants to a range of underground mining equipment including:
• Loader (Eimco 913) and attachments (bucket, forks and man basket)
• Man transporter (PJB)
• Bolters, hand held (gopher and windy borer)
• Trickle dusters
• Dewatering pumps
• Longwall supports
• Flame proof and non-flame proof electrical enclosures and transformers
Myne Start Mackay
located on the edge of the CBD, approximately 5 minutes from the airport. The complex consists of:
• 3 underground roadways, each of a suitable width and height (approx. 5.2m x 2.9m) to allow for underground mobile equipment operation
• Travel road is approximately 60m in length
• Surface facilities, bathhouse, lamp room (cap lamps and rescuers), CABA/SABA, muster area, training room and equipment go line
• Underground crib room facilities
• Strata control systems, bolting platforms, roof and rib bolts, mesh and cogs

All TRAINING programs completed at Myne Start are offered through MyneSight Pty Ltd.
Combining the individual business strengths, MyneSight now has unlimited access and use of the MyneStart facilities and 4Sight training delivery experience. Through our RTO status we deliver various mine training in both the Mackay and Brisbane facilities or tailored to you site requirements.
MyneSight is a Registered Training Organisation (#31900) which has been providing training and assessment services to the resource sector for over 4 years, specialising in the provision of training to the underground coal mining sector.
